The International Library “Ilaria Alpi”

The International Library was inaugurated on 2 February 2009 in the restored rooms of the former Benedictine Monastery of San Paolo together with the Guanda Library. The International Library aspires to be an ideal place for exchange, dialogue and sharing, a true bridge between cultures of the world. It is committed to enhancing pluralism and multi-cultural traditions in order to encourage and support an ethically sustainable process of internationalisation in Parma.
The International Library keeps in contact with its readers and users through its website, a general newsletter dedicated to new additions to the collection and upcoming events, newsletters for the reading clubs, a Facebook page and, most recently, an Instagram page. The website is also in English and constantly updated with events, picture galleries, bibliographies and reading suggestions.
